Mouse pointers 

While interacting with the Windows 7 and Ms Office suite, occasionally you will notice changes in appearance of the mouse pointer; 

this post illustrates common pointers with aid of diagrams as shown below: 

1. Arrow pointer–select or execute commands.

2. Sizing pointer – adjusts the size of Windows.

3. Sizer pointer – moves objects on the desktop. 

4. Hour glass/ wait cursor/ busy cursor – indicates that you would wait as Windows carries out a command.

There are more images of the wait cursor depending on the operating system you will have installed on your computer. Wait cursors are also used on mobile devices.
