Samsung enterprise has announced that it would discontinue the My Knox feature from its phones advising users to switch to secure folder available on Google app store & Galaxy apps.
Samsung Knox provides security features that enable business and personal content to coexist on the same handset. The user presses an icon that switches from Personal to Work use with no delay or reboot wait time.
The service is scheduled to end on 19th Dec 2017 as announced earlier however, users still using My Knox app will continue using it but will not be able to log into My Knox portal to remotely manage their device.
Ones the app has been uninstalled from phone, Users will not be able to download it again as already it has been removed from app stores.
Since not all earlier Samsung phones support the secure Folder*, users are adviced to first/ fast back up their data outside Knox.
To back up My Knox data, go to My Knox Settings > Backup and restore > Back up My Knox data. Please note that a Samsung account is required to use the My Knox backup and restore feature.
