A company in japan has succesfully built an 800,000 LEGO bricks tree. The beautiful plastic sakura tree measure 4.38 metres tall, 5.42 metres long and 4.93 metres wide.

The tree was designed and built by a team of staff in the Czech Republic and after more than 6,700 hours of hard work, the LEGO® tree was shipped to Japan for final assembly.

The sakura tree features a set of lanterns (made of LEGO®), which light up during the evening.

Sakura was built as a way of commemorating the currently ongoing spring time in Japan.

Torben Jensen, president of Legoland Japan Ltd., was not only ecstatic to have a new landmark at the theme park, but also to see it break the official world record.
